The Bet, or: 30 Minutes in Buck Hill Christie knew the legend wasn't real, but the hairs on the back of her neck stood up regardless as she approached the entrance. She ran her hand across the bricks that formed the arching entryway.
"How the heck did they convince me to do this?"
PJ grinned. "It was easy enough. You seem to like proving people wrong. People who realize this can easily take advantage of it."
"Shut up, PJ, it was a rhetorical question."
PJ chuckled to himself. "Whatever you say, Christie. You have the camera ready?" Christie nodded. "Good. Well, I have the timer, and I'll start it as soon as you step through that doorway."
Christie looked in his direction and took a deep breath. "Let's go."
